Life's been pretty exciting lately. We've had lots of visitors staying with us (including Grampaw!!) and Mom says that's why she hasn't been able to tell all of you any of my stories. Frankly, I think she's been a bit lazy and has let the team down, but whatever, she knows how to turn on the black box that holds our stories and I don't. She has promised me that real soon she'll show you pictures of our visitors ... and I'll keep bugging her... muwahahah.
There is one story that I REALLY wanted to tell you right now. A long time ago I figured out that I could jump over the fence and get into the old person's yard next door. I'm such a big strong boy and it's so fun! There's lots of open space and new things to smell and sometimes the old man is there. I like to bark at him a bit and he acts silly and hides behind a big green thing. Actually that's only happened once and boy oh boy was Mom mad when she found out about that. I just can't help it, it's so fun jumping over that fence! Well, anyway my fun is over. The old man came over the other day and had a talk with Mom and he kept pointing at me and saying my name. Mom ended up having two guys come over and put a big long stick thing in front of the fence and now I can't get over there any more. It really doesn't seem fair at all that my fun has been ruined.
Here's the stick thingy in front of my fence.
Mom said it would look better pretty soon - she said the green stuff would start to cover it up like this.
Then even more fun happened. The two guys who put up the stick thingy put up new white things on the short fence and then spread all this white stuff over everything. Mom says the short fence looks real pretty now. What do you think?
Here's me in front of the new short fence that Mom likes. When I was sitting here looking handsome for Mom, she said "uh oh..." Do you see what Mom saw?
Well, I guess I must have bumped the white stuff that those guys put on the fence. When Mom saw it she said I was just perfect! Well, actually what she said was "that's just perfect Jack, just perfect," but that's the same thing.
