Every night after dinner Mom gives us a cookie. Or two. Or three. You may not know this, but us pups love cookies. We love cookies almost as much as the ball. In fact, now that I think about it, we might like cookies MORE than the ball since we will ALWAYS put the ball down to accept a cookie.
The thing is, after dinner we never know when the cookie is coming. Usually Mom waits until we've gone outside again or until she's already in the kitchen before she starts handing out the goods. So, Tuk and I talked it over and we think it's silly that we have to wait. We decided that Tuk (being older - not wiser as some might suggest) should just start asking for the cookie. Wouldn't you know it, this has been a perfect plan. Tuk's power over Mom is amazing! I just stand back and watch him work and the cookies start flowing. It's really quite spectacular. I tried it once with Mom, and she didn't even look at me. But when Tuk starts asking for the cookies, you can tell that she just can't say no. You can tell because we ALWAYS get a cookie!
First, Tuk gets right in there (yeah!). I'm licking the comforter in a desperate attempt to communicate my cookie desire.
Then Tuk backs up and starts really communicating. I politely hang back.
Success! We are in the kitchen. And, yes, my tongue is already out in anticipation.
Reward! Actually this picture Mom took isn't very good. We've already gobbled up the cookies. I'm licking for crumbs and Tuk's trying to decide if that chew-bone is a cookie or not. Well, maybe this is a great photo! At least I can tell the difference between a cookie and a chew-bone.
